Recognized brand-name bars in original assay packaging are the most straightforward for us to evaluate because they're immediately verifiable. Bars removed from their assay card or in generic packaging are still bought and fairly evaluated. All bars are tested for authenticity in front of you before any offer is finalized.
Fake and counterfeit bars
Counterfeit gold bars exist and are getting harder to detect visually. We use specific gravity, XRF, ultrasonic, and other verification methods to authenticate every bar before we buy. If something turns out to be fake, we'll tell you honestly — and we won't buy it. Better to find out here than pay full price to a private buyer.
